17 teams have entered the 8 a side pairs league competition. Because of the constraints of time in the season the teams have been divided into two areas, North and South. These were decided by the management committee. Each team will play all the other teams in their pool once . The top two in both groups will play off for the championship in a semi-final and final. The top of the south section will play the second in the North section and the top in the north section will play the second in the south in the two semi-finals, the winners will play in the final.

In the event of teams tying on the same number of points in the pool matches, the team with the higher team batting average (i.e. total net runs scored by the team divided by the total matches played.

In the event of two teams having the same number of points and batting average, the winner of the game played between the two teams shall prevail.
